Calling All Young Composers!

Why Submit:

• Winning compositions will be performed by Bridge Ensemble.

• Winners and their immediate family members will receive free tickets to the performance.

• Every submission will receive brief feedback from our judges.

Competition Timeline:

• June 1st to July 30th - Open for submissions

• August 1st to to August 31 - Submissions are reviewed

• September - Winners are notified

• October - Bridge Ensemble begins rehearsals

• November - Concert

​Fees:

• Our competition is completely FREE. 

​

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 minutes of music for any combination of the following instruments:

  • 1 flute

  • 1 clarinet/bass clarinet

  • 1 alto saxophone

  • 1 violin

  • 1 cello

  • 1 piano/keyboard

  • 1 percussionist

    • Available large instruments: marimba, vibraphone, drumset, glockenspiel, snare drum, bass drum, crash cymbals, suspended cymbal

    • Feel free to get creative with auxiliary percussion. If your composition is selected, we will work to acquire the instruments or (if unobtainable) work with you to come up with a solution for the premiere.

• Please submit both a PDF of the score and an audio file.

 

How to Submit:

• Fill out our Google Form. Participants under the age of 18 will be asked to have a parent sign the Form to authorize their submission.
