The Water Cycle

Bridge Ensemble’s Water Cycle Project reflects the changing rhythms of the natural world. Like the cycle of water is one of continuous transformation, each piece in the Project exists as part of a dynamic, evolving whole, creating a space where new ideas emerge and build upon what came before.

The Cycle in Action

Seeds

The cycle began with a poem, "Seeds," written by Lily Tobias

I Am a Dialogue, We Are a Monologue

The poem inspired a set of photographs by photographer Amber Bachiochi Thompson, titled "I Am a Dialogue, We Are a Monologue."

Summoning Self

The photographs inspired a chamber music suite for flute, clarinet, piano, violin, cello, and percussion, composed by Antonio Caballero.

Fly Me

Summoning Self inspired a three-act play titled "Fly Me," by writer Daniel Thompson.

What's Next?

"Fly Me" will inspire another creative work. Stay tuned for the next phase in The Water Cycle Project.
